03-04 MUSEO NAM JUNE PAIK

PROYECTO: MUSEO NAM JUNE PAIK CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE IDEAS EMPLAZAMIENTO: KYONGGI (KOREA DEL SUR) CLIENTE: INTERNATIONAL UNION OF ARCHITECTS EQUIPO: CHS ARQUITECTOS EFFLORESCENCE. The towers of light indicating their universal vocation in a space in the Korean forest. Discovering what is in the belly. Emptying out the interior. Digging out and showing. The museum is hidden, submerged in the topography, extending like roots, tentacles that stretch out, tower screens vomiting out events. Spreading the insides, connecting to the network. . Clearings in the forest. Irregular limits marked by a border of trees and paths. The buildings covering flowing through like a part of the forest.

FISSURES LIGHT The natural lighting penetrates through gaps, cracks and crevices, cracks that embue the halls with adequate illumination. Supported by systems of artificial illumination which are technically required. These halls being equally capable of total darkness.
